Types of emergency care we offer
Our ER is staffed with board-certified physicians, registered nurses and other emergency healthcare staff who work collaboratively to provide coordinated, comprehensive care. Additionally, our ER nurses are certified in several courses from the National Emergency Nurse Association, including Trauma Nurse Corp Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC).
We specialize in many types of emergency care, including:
- Heart attacks — We are equipped to quickly identify and treat heart attack symptoms and other cardiac emergencies. As an accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI by the American College of Cardiology, our cardiology services include interventional procedures and a cardiac catheterization lab.
- Pediatric emergency care — Our ER includes trained clinicians and special equipment to diagnose and treat kids and teens who are experiencing medical emergencies. This allows us to expedite their care and keep your child, and you, as comfortable as possible during these difficult situations.
- Stroke care — If you show signs of stroke, we are committed to providing quick and effective care. We are designated as a Stroke Receiving Facility by the Utah Department of Health and are equipped to handle both hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes using proven techniques and technology.
- Trauma care — We are prepared to help those with moderate injuries and critical emergencies. As a Level IV Trauma Center designated by the Utah Department of Health, we offer specialized treatment, resources and equipment to stabilize and prevent serious complications from your injuries. Our program also serves as an educational and clinical resource for local and regional trauma service providers, including physicians, nurses, paramedics and other clinical personnel.
