Three births, one trusted hospital: Why Allison Hansen keeps choosing Cache Valley

After delivering her first child at Cache Valley Hospital, Allison Hansen knew she had found the right place. Despite one birth elsewhere, she returned to CVH for her next two deliveries, drawn back by the calm, personal care she trusted.

A history of trust that keeps bringing her back

Allison Hansen has delivered three of her four children at Cache Valley Hospital. From her first visit, she felt supported, respected, and at ease — so much so that when it came time to welcome her second, third, and now fourth baby, there was no question where she’d go. “We loved going there,” she said. “The staff is great, and they work with you. You never feel pressured.”

With each delivery, Allison experienced the same thoughtful, consistent care: a private room she never had to leave, nurses who understood her needs without her asking, and a doctor who showed up every time — weekend or not. For Allison, it wasn’t just about a smooth labor and delivery. It was about being seen, heard, and supported at every step.

A place she kept coming back to

Allison Hansen isn’t new to motherhood — or to Cache Valley Hospital. With four children, she’s experienced a few different delivery settings. But when it came time to welcome baby number four, she knew exactly where she wanted to be.

Her journey with Cache Valley Hospital started with the birth of her first child. “We had our first at Cache Valley Hospital, but had our second at a different hospital because of an insurance change,” she said. “It was a totally different experience. That’s why we came back — for our third, and then again for Lily.”

From the start, Allison appreciated the comfort and consistency of the hospital’s approach to labor and delivery. “You’re in the same room the whole time,” she said. “That might sound like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference. You don’t have to be moved around from triage to delivery to recovery. You’re settled. You can relax.”

But the setting was only part of what kept her coming back. The team at Cache Valley Hospital made the experience feel personal. “The nurses asked the right questions. They didn’t pressure me, but they made sure I was comfortable and aware of all my options,” she said. “It felt like they really listened. That’s not something you get everywhere.”

During Lily’s birth — her most recent — Allison noticed the same level of attentiveness. Whether it was adjusting to her birth plan, checking in frequently without being intrusive, or simply offering a calming presence, the team’s approach helped her feel both empowered and cared for. “I never felt rushed or like I was being managed through a system,” she explained. “It felt like they were there for me — not just doing a job, but genuinely invested in how I was doing.”

Over the years, she’s also come to appreciate the little things — like the quiet hallways, the calm environment, and the kindness of every caregiver she encountered. “You walk in and it just feels different. It’s not cold or chaotic. It’s peaceful,” she said.

And as a mom juggling the needs of four young children, Allison knows how much that matters. “Each birth is different, but one thing that’s stayed the same is how well I’ve been treated at Cache Valley Hospital,” she said. “It’s a place I trust. That’s why we keep coming back.”

Recovery, reflection, and what comes next

For the Hansen family, the care didn’t end after delivery. In fact, some of her most meaningful moments happened in the quiet hours that followed — when the excitement settled, and she was left to rest, recover, and bond with her baby.

“After Lily was born, I felt completely supported,” she said. “The nurses checked on me regularly, but they were never overbearing. It was the perfect balance — I had space when I needed it, and help when I asked.”

One moment in particular stood out: a nurse brought her warm blankets in the middle of the night when the room felt chilly. “It was such a small gesture, but it meant so much,” Allison recalled. “It’s those little things that make a big difference when you’re recovering from childbirth.”

For each of her three deliveries at Cache Valley Hospital, Allison remembers how the staff made her feel not only comfortable, but capable. From breastfeeding support to helping her get on her feet again, every interaction was grounded in patience and kindness. “They never made me feel like I was asking too much,” she said. “Even when I didn’t know what I needed, they were there.”

She also appreciated how smooth the discharge process was — never rushed, always at her pace. “It wasn’t about checking boxes or pushing me out the door,” she said. “It was about making sure I felt ready to go home, confident in how to care for my baby and myself.”

Back at home, as life returned to its familiar rhythm — this time with four kids in tow — Allison reflected on what made her experiences so memorable. “It’s not just about the delivery,” she said. “It’s about how you’re treated in those vulnerable moments before and after. And at Cache Valley Hospital, I’ve always felt respected, heard, and cared for.”

She’s watched her babies grow into toddlers and kids with their own personalities and routines. But no matter how much time passes, she hasn’t forgotten what those first moments were like — and how much the right environment shaped them. “There’s something really special about bringing your child into the world in a place where you feel safe and supported,” she said.

It’s why, through four deliveries and countless memories, she’s never hesitated in her choice of where to go.

“And that’s why I say, Take Me to Cache Valley Hospital.”
