The day before Thanksgiving, Melvin was installing a new double oven for the big day when his chest started to hurt. He was certain it was just acid indigestion and went about treating it as he normally would. When traditional remedies did not work he headed to the emergency room and was rushed right back and had a stent placed. He’s been coming to cardiac rehab for a few months now.
“The experience here has been great. They are very good here. They are pretty persuasive,” he said laughing about their encouragement to help him lose weight. “They haven’t made me change all my bad habits, but they’ve got me exercising. I’ve felt total safe with all the precautions taken for COVID as well.”
