Heart diseases and conditions we treat

Whether you are at risk for heart disease, struggle with a heart or vascular condition or are already committed to a heart-healthy lifestyle, we can help. We offer personalized, effective treatments and resources to prevent, alleviate and often eliminate cardiovascular disease and heart conditions, including:

Heart attacks

When heart attacks are treated quickly, heart muscle and lives are saved. Some individuals may wait hours or even days before seeking care for heart attack symptoms - many may even drive to the hospital instead of calling 9-1-1. This is dangerous for many reasons. The longer you wait, the more damage can be done.

When you call 9-1-1, ambulances will bring you to us and use advanced technology to help our teams diagnose a heart attack while you are in transit. This allows us to take fast action and treat you as quickly and effectively possible.

We encourage you to learn the symptoms, practice CPR and don't hesitate to call 9-1-1 if you think someone is having a heart attack.

Heart disease

Cardiovascular disease is responsible for one in five deaths in the U.S., according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It's critical to understand if you are at risk of developing this disease and to get diagnosed quickly. Talk to your doctor about heart disease if you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, peripheral artery disease (PAD), diabetes or obesity.

Our cardiologists and heart specialists can recognize early signs of heart disease and create a treatment plan to minimize or even fully treat the disease.

Cardiopulmonary program

Issues with your heart and lungs are often related because these organs work so closely together in your body. That is why we offer a cardiopulmonary program as part of our lung care services. Here, we provide advanced support and treatments for these complex conditions.

Hands-only CPR

If a teen or adult suddenly collapses and is not breathing, you could save them by knowing this heart-smart version of a popular tune.

  • Call 911.
  • Push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of "Stayin' Alive" — the perfect rhythm for hands-only CPR.

Continue compressions until help arrives. To avoid tiring quickly, lock your elbows and keep your arms straight and your shoulders down in a relaxed position (not up by your ears). Use your body weight, not your arms, to push. If another person is there, you can take turns if you need a rest.
