Six MountainStar hospitals recognized among nation's best
MountainStar Healthcare is proud to announce that six of its hospitals are being recognized as 2023 Top Hospitals.
Salt Lake City, Utah — Six hospitals in the MountainStar Healthcare have been recognized on the 2023 Top Hospitals list by Fortune and PINC AI. The annual study rates hospitals on a balanced scorecard that includes patient outcomes and experience, operational efficiency, financial health and community impact.
St. Mark’s Hospital made the list as one of the nation’s top 25 Teaching Hospitals. In Utah County, Timpanogos Regional Hospital and Mountain View Hospital ranked among the top 20 Medium Community Hospitals. And Brigham City Community Hospital, Lone Peak Hospital and Lakeview Hospital all made the list of top 20 Small Community Hospitals.
“What a tremendous honor to have six of the best hospitals in the nation here in our Utah network,” said Dr. Filip Roos, MountainStar’s chief medical officer. “We’re proud of what this recognition says about our caregivers and colleagues and their commitment to delivering the best care possible.”
The 100 Top Hospitals list aims to inspire hospital and health system leaders to pursue higher performance and deliver added value to patients and communities.
The six hospitals are part of a Utah network that served over one million patient interactions in 2022, with care sites from Logan to Payson. MountainStar Healthcare is also part of HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers. In all, 32 of the Top 100 hospitals named by Fortune and PINC AI were HCA Healthcare facilities.
“That speaks to the ways our communities here in Utah benefit from the support and alignment from a national leader,” Roos added. “The care we deliver here in the Beehive State is made better because of the knowledge, data and best practices from over 37 million annual patient interactions across our parent network.”
Three of MountainStar’s hospitals — Mountain View, St. Mark’s and Timpanogos Regional — also received the Everest Award for their five-year improvement rates on the same balanced scorecard.
